lcd monitor troubles

    i have a 17 inche lcd monitor brand new and i cant get it to go above 60hz.... ti says in the manual it can do 75..... and i cant get it to change.... should ir etunr this monitor? or is there an easy fix?

    was there software with the monitor?

    How is it connected? A DVI interface is usually locked at 60hz and it really doesn't matter with digital since the screen isn't redrawn the same way as analog. If you have it connected to a standard analog VGA input you should be able to adjust it. If you can't you will have to do as ddp suggested and see if you can find the software/drivers on the manufacturers web site.
