Hi all, I just changed from crt to a lcd display. I bought the mitsubishi mdt191s but all instructions are in Japanese as I live in Japan. When I load a game, the screen shrinks considerably. The resolution is set at the recommended 1280 x 1024. What do I need to do to change it so the games will be full screen. Thanks for any input.

looks like Tokyo_Joe was one of our famous one-hit wonders around here. people sign up, ask one question, then never come back. it's quite annoying. oh well.

all i can say, flykid, is a do a search and then post the details of your situation here, as well as your specs. we'll see what we can do.

Sorry guys for the late reply, I assumed this thread was closed. The answer was quite simple really, just go into the game and change the display settings on the game to 1280 x 1028. This should change the screen immediately or when you start playing. This worked for me on every game I had installed before buying the new monitor.

I actually changed the setting and it doesn’t work.

    Well here are the specs.

    3.2 ghz
    74 raptor
    6800 gto card
    and my screen I went from a 19"dell to a Philip 37"lcd

It says I can view stuff at 1366 by 768. But I didn’t have that setting in there so I downloaded something called Power Strip and created the 1366 by 768 but it gets very blurry and I can't see much. So if anyone out there knows how to fix that and also how to view a game in full screen I would appreciated it.

on a screen that size, it's going to be a bit blurry. it's a tv, right? if so, there's several settings you'll have to change. first thing i'd do is reinstall my drivers from the cd, just to start with a blank slate. then, go from there.

I would say that most games won't have the 1366x768 setting so it might be good idea to try setting the monitor to 1280x1024 and then setting the game to 1280x1024. I'd also say that's a tv you're using and that it doesn't have a response rate suitable for gaming. You need a response rate of 8ms for gaming on an lcd display.
