    Hi guys/gals,

I have encoded an xvid avi I have using dvdsanta, and use clonedvd to burn. No matter what res I encode with - High/Medium/Low, or whether the move is pal or ntsc, or 4:3/16:9, when I go to playback the dvd in my dvd player, part of the movie on both sides is missing. If I watch the vob files on my pc I can see thoe whole lot, but as soon as I burn to dvd I get the problem. Any help would be nice.

    Cheers

I don't know anything about DVDSanta but I would guess that it's an aspec ratio problem in the step that's converting the avi to mpeg.

I use TMPGEnc, and there are options for the aspect ratio. This DVDSanta is probably defaulting to a 4:3 ratio, and dropping the sides. I would look through the options or help file to find the setting for the output file's aspect ratio.
