Are there any programs (preferrably all-in-one applications) that will allow me to make legal backup copies of my DVD movies? Having a toddler, we have gone through three copies of one movie, and another one is starting to deteriorate. I used DVD Copy years ago, when it was legal to use that program to make personal backup copies. I am not clear what constitutes, "fair use", when it comes to making personal backup copies of DVD movies. I just don't think it's fair that I have to buy a brand new store bought copy of a DVD movie, when the one I've already purchased has become defective due to a young child's mishandling.

There appears to be a wealth of information on this site, so please point me to the appropriate FAQ or thread which pertains to my questions.

    Thanks.

If you live in the USA there is no way to make 'legal' digital copies.
