I see everyone touts the effectiveness of broadband routers as firewalls. I have WBR-3406TX router. I want to to know if there are any settings I need to make in order to provide online firewall protection. I've left wireless security disabled since I'm not worried about local transgressors. Under security settings I have the following cattegories: Packet filters Domain filterss Url blocking Mac controll Miscellanious

Bad things mainly involve hacking. Network worms can spread across the wireless network too. Yes, I believe that your router is effective with default security settings.
