The new dual format player from LG implements all Blu-Ray features but none of the interactive HD DVD features. It also doesn't play CDs or offer HDMI 1.3 features. I thought this player would be the end all for the war but it is a rushed effort that makes Blu-Ray look better than HD DVD. For its price tag it should be a more well-rounded unit. Thanks for the info Ced. I did read an article (can't find the link just now) that this model was rushed so they could make noise at the CES. They do have a more polished product that will come out as early as July that will have full HD DVD functionality including HDi. This model was basically their BluRay player with HD-DVD playback capability implemented thru the optics. They just wanted to show that it can be done.
