Can anyone help me out here please. The recorder is an RH266. The DVD-R will play CD's and VCD's but won't recognise DVD's. It throws up a message 'Unknown disc. Please check disc again'. I have recorded to the HDD from TV and VHS but as it won't accept DVD's in any form, I cannot copy anything. LG sent me an update software disc which I ran. A message said that I already had this upgrade installed but I ran it anyway. Unfortunately it made no difference. This machine is a direct replacement for one I returned with a fault that was too costly to repair. I had no problems playing DVD's on that one. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thank you.
Just to say that my problem is now, hopefully, resolved. Tomorrow I take delivery of a replacement DVD Recorder.Fingers crossed that all will be ok.
