Ok I've got an old box which i want to play mp3s with. It's a p200MMX with 128 megs of ram. I want a light software mp3 player which uses very few cpu cycles. Does anything reliable exists that's less CPU-hungry than winamp and plays vbr mp3 files?
Have you tried 1by1? http://www.rz.uni-frankfurt.de/~pesch/#1by1 It doesn't need playlists, it's a simple and small directory player, and does not interfere with windows's registry...
