Does anyone know of a searchable archive of images of the actual audio cds? I'm recording my vinyl to Lightscribe cds and would love to be able burn the actual cd image onto the disk.
What do you mean "searchable archive of images"? Like image copies of the actual cd? If so then whats the purpose recording your vinyl's to your pc? If your gonna record them you dont need image copies. For recording software I would recommend the sound recorder from PolderBits. It can eliminate the hiss, crackle, and pop common in records.
I belive by image he is referring to the artwork so that he can make labels on the cd that are the same as the artwork on the storebought cd. From what I understood he is already recording the vinyls onto the lightscribe cds; just wants to burn those lightscribe labels. @Hobbit112, Try out this link to look for album art. http://www.mega-search.net/ It searches numerous databases to find what you are looking for. Good luck! ~Carl
@carlvo your right. thats probably what he meant, thanks. lol i never would have thought of that. p.s. you forgot to post that link
Yep, You guys have got the gist of what I'm looking for. I have tried the several of the sites mentioned throughout the forums and wasn't totally satisfied. Here I am answering my own request! (I'm sharing!) So far, this is the site I am checking first as it seems to have a good selection: http://www.slothradio.com/covers/ Still looking for a better one!
@Hobbit112, Just found what seems to be a pretty good site for finding the original art for the albums/cd. This is the best one I've found so far and I'm finding it very useful. You may want to check it out. I think you'll find what you are looking for. http://www.covertarget.com Let me know how it goes! ~Carl
