Limewire, ive been using it for 2 years, no adware, spyware. When you get it, go to options and delete the direcitory in the box, under the Sharing tab. It makes the app run faster, and as well as youre download speeds, because you wont have to share youre music, video, ect files, to the Gnutella network.

I mainly only dl from bittorrents. I get great speeds, and I prefer to get the whole cd instead of going song by song.

i use bit torrent i get fast speeds such as 3000 KB/s or such - if i want appz, i use IRC. individual songs or sharing or pre-release albums i use gnutella2 network.

Nomatter what I use, I always attempt to download compressed files ([bold].rar[/bold] files) other than Mp3s (or oggs or wmas). I use Shareaza most of the time since it is a good P2P app that incorporates Bittorrents aswell as the eDonkey 2000 network alongside its native G2 (gnutella2) and G1 (gnutella) networks.

I think bittorent is the future. When HD space increases and gets cheap there won't be a need for lossy files. I would love to download CD images and CUE sheets instead of lossly audio files. When that type of sharing becomes fesible the RIAA is going to really get pissed!

Has anybody cracked the SACD or DVD-A formats yet (J/K)?

I prefer IRC over bit torrents. For getting just music though, nothing beats Soul Seek
