    Hello!

I've run into quite a sticky situation.

I have recently purchased a Linksys Wireless N dual-band adapter, but when I took it home, and after following all the instructions very carefully, I had found that I could not connect to the internet.

Now, to rule out some common issues, the router I am trying to connect to is on an N band, is 15 feet away from where I want to connect, the software works fine, and I have installed the necessary drivers.

The problem is that Windows does not recognize the device. On the device manager menu the linksys adapter is under an "unknown" field, and over the diamond symbol that represents the adapter, there is an exclamation mark.

My computer recognizes that it is there, but it just won't do anything with it. It constantly says that it did not install the right driver, which I did install the right driver many, many times.

I've tried uninstalling everything and starting from the hardware installer instead, which did nothing, and I've tried installing the adapter like the guide said again once more, and nothing happened.

I even called tech support, and I stumped them with this one.

So, I know that there are some smart, smart people out there...

Could one of them solve this sticky problem?

Oh, btw, I am using windows XP.
