linux mint format hdd problems

    i need to format to install windows 7 but the software on the disk wont let me do that. any ideas. i tries the fdisk thing that didnt work.

    I don't use Mint much but it should come with the usual partition tools, such as gparted ?. Just boot up the Mint cd and choose one of the disk tools...

    um it didnt the laptop i brought it had it on it and i wanted to install windows 7. but to late now i returned it and buyed one with vista and just upgraded it
