Linux on mac

    I looked for about 2 hours today for any articles or download sites on how to install it. I came up with nothign and hope someone could help me out.

    i dont like mac, but do they at least have boot from cd function, if so you may have downloaded a distro for the wrong architecture.

    i recommend knoppix to find out if your system is compatible before wasting your time.

    Well, I havn't downloaded anything yet. It seems almost impossible to find something.

    a distro of linux for mac im pretty sure would fall under the category of PowerPC.
    there are many linux distributions that can easily be found by searching in google...
    a couple are:
    Debian
    Fedora
    Mandrake
    Ubuntu

    and the list continues, all you have to do is find the right one for yourself

    easiest version of linux to get running on any system is DSL

    just boots and runs from a cd

    google for damn small linux

    but i thought that since DSL has not got any particular architecture and stuff, you cant find more software to add to it, and i dont htink you can install it either ?
