I am thinking about taking linux for a spin have tried before with dismal results. I wonder if anyone has an opinion on the easiest and best Linux distro. I would also need links as to where to get it I have tried Xandros free and Linspire this one requires to much to your system to be installed what I want to run it on is a Intel Celeron 600-700mhz or possibly something older. I love knoppix and use it regularly. This I want to install to my old desktop.
@elliott Most of the linux people I talk to recommend Suse 9.1, which supposedly is very easy, or Red Hat. You can download the ISOs for free at linuxiso.org @Eugenides You're a fucktard
I just downloaded Pclinuxos preview 8 read some good reviews on it this morning. I have heard of course about the other two mentioned but what I was thinking is something that auto configures much like Windows. I will download the iso's tonight and try RedHat 1st. I really liked Xandros it loaded just like windows and didn't require but 64mb of ram but they charge for any other downloads, that's not open source. What is wrong with eugenides mmmmm to much caffeine.
