Not all the time but sometimes I get a prob with the sound outa sinc with the picture. I use VSO DivXtoDVD & WIN AVI Video Converter to create VOB files from previously ripped dvds which are now AVIs.

I've downloaded Avi2Dvd to try out even though its still in Beta stage but if anyone can suggest a more stable program than I'm already using (or maybe I'm doing somthing wrong !) any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers.

    Hi there,

It's the way those files are encoded.

They probably have an audio stream (MP3 Vbr) Variable Bit Rate, which causes some issues when you convert them.

Someone told me to try MP3_Freeze

Maybe it will help you too with those Out Of Sync Issues !

Cheers for that ... I've just tried it through ConvertXtoDVD with a previously out of sync avi and its seemed to work so might use this from now on. Thanks.

    :)
