Normally I have no problem in converting a DivX file to DVD compatible. However I've tried it with a particular file recently and the lipsync goes out after about 5 minutes. This doesn't occur on the original DivX file. I've also tried converting it to Nero Digital (mpeg 4)using Nero Recode and the same thing happens. Any ideas on how to correct the problem?
Try a different converter such as ConvertXtoDVD. If that doesn't help, use Cucusoft Converter Pro. There is a setting to "force" sync problems in it.
Thanks Dolphin. I tried ConvertXtoDVD, which is really just an upgrade from DivXtoDVD, but it worked. No more sync problems. I also like the new menu options. Cheers.
This a common error due to the AVI, not to the converter (AVI with MP3 VBR). Read the FAQ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/196299
I understand what you are saying and agree, but decent encoders should be able to correct this by 'forcing' the sound sync in such circumstances. The problem seems to be in knowing which encoders will do this and those that will not. I hasten to add that Cucusoft Converter Pro also solved the sync problem.
