Lite On 851s help

    Hi, I have installed a Lite On DVDRW LDW 851s internal DVD burner. The problem is that windows only sees it as a dvd/cd rom. When I try to burn a dvd data disc using Sonic RecordNow DX, It reports that the disc is a cd and has about 700 Mb. It will not allow me to add more than that to the disc. It will record as a cd even though I am using PC line DVD+RW discs.
    Can anyone help? Please?

    Possibly a bad drive.
    Maybe windows updates will help,but most likely a bad drive.

    I just dug out the two sample disks that came with the burner one is -r and the other is + r and they work. Why does the +rw not work?
    How do you do the firmware upgrade? where do you get it? I looked on the Lite On site but it was not in English, so I hadn't a clue what to look for.
