LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1673S issues

    Hi,
    This drive used to work fine but my younger brother said he used some program named "starf*ck" and that somehow disabled the drive temporarily. Unfortunately I cannot find this program anywhere and therefore I cannot watch, burn, or listen to dvds or cds. Please help

    Using windows XP:

    Go into device manager/open up dvd-cd rom/rw tree.
    Locate that litey/double click it/click driver tab/uninstall/OK/and reboot. See if your litey is recognized after that.

    Any other OS,then I'm not sure.
