Hi I got a LiteOn 16X Dual Layer DVD+-RW that can't burn at 1X 2X. The lowest speed its capable of handling is 4X. Using DVD Decrytor, Nero, Alcohol 120%.And Taiyo Yudun 4X media. Also have Ritek 8X media. Can any one help me with possible setting changes to get this to work?
4x is fine on everything if your using authentic Taiyo Yuden, what does the code say on the inner rim of the DVD, (should start with two letters but very hard to see). Also I burn Verbatim Taiyo Yudens on my mums Liteon (same as yours) burnt 50+PS2 games, 25+DVDs and not a single playback issue at 4x. The reason why it won't go lower is because the burner your using won't go any lower with that particular media, basically it just depends on what media/burner combination you use as to how slow it will burn.
Thanks for the tips. Yeah I've havent had any problems with TY media just preparing PAL ISO's which I have stopped using because those are the only ones I've had playback problems with. So I guess burning at 1X 2X isnt required after all. Have a quick question for any1 that will listen. 1. Are TY 8X, as good as the 4X that I'm using now? 2. Are TY 4X, as good for XBOX ISO's as they have been for PS2?
