I'm finally gonna make the splash and get the lightscribe drive. Actually, it'll be a gift from someone. Anyway, looking on newegg, they have three liteons, that all have the same model number, features, specs etc., but they are listed differently.

Other than color, what's the difference between these three? Please, I'd appreciate the help. Thanks.

The one that cost the most is retail and the other 2 or OEM's meaning it don't come with the box or screws to mount the drive.

I got the beige OEM this week as a second drive, Nero wouldn't recongize it as a lightscribe drive but once I installed the newest lightscibe drivers it did. Other then that I haven't had any problems with it.

Ah! Good tip. So I should be going for the retail version, since it'll come with all the necessary hardware for an install?

If I don't have Nero, what lightscribe program should I use? I'm fairly certain that I read in one of those reviews about potential lightscribe programs.

    Thanks for the suggestion!
