Hello out there. I've got a slight problem and I'm hoping someone can help. I have many miniDV tapes and I want to transfer them to my computer for editing purposes. The big problem is that I don't have my camera anymore. It got stolen from me!! Wondering if there is any sort of low-budget miniDV players out there or any other solution to this problem. I did some web searching, but didn't find much. Please help! Thank you much.

Theres plenty of miniDV players/recorder, but they cost thousands. If i were you, id just go buy a new camcorder and use it to capture your movies to your PC.Plus, you'll probly need the camcorder in the future.

Agreed. low-to-mid range MiniDV cameras are fine for everyday use.
