I have D/L'd an AVI file which is locked to DVD X Player. I don't want to watch it on the player on my comp but I want to put it on disc to watch on my Tv in front of the fire, with the wife and kids.
Can anyone offer me any advice as to how to do this, please???

I am not sure what you mean by "locked" to the player...

Anyhow, if you don't have a Divx/mpeg4 certified DVD player, just a regular DVD player, you have to convert the AVI to a video DVD compilation. You can use the free program DVD Flick to do that. Quick search for a guide.
