hi my xbox was softmodded then one day it lost dashboards.only fired up to ms dash.would still play originals.then hardrive died bought a unlocked hardrive from ebay but i need the eeprom file from my motherboard i think is there any way i can find it as i cant ftp. thanks
by any chance, when you softmodded it the first time, did you back it up to your pc? if not, then you will have to put in a mod chip, then use a auto installer to load onto your new hard drive then lock it!
hi tried using the eeprom tools in auto installer put xbox drive as slave on pc generated an eeprom file put that in xboxhdm eeprom file.locked hardrive now get error 6[unable to lock hardrive]i think. When bought xbox it was already softmodded. looks like ill buy a chip any advice on which one?? thx
i bought the xcuter 2.6 with solderless adapter, it was easy to install once i got that dam screw that they supply you with for the adapter to fit! the xecuter 2.6 will work with all versions of xbox from 1.0 to 1.5, not sure about the 1.6 though! you do have to flash the bios, just make it on a dvd media! there are tuts for it, or you can pm me and i will point it out to you! i used xbxhdm to make and hard drive, then used slayers installer then locked it with slayers, it works perfect!
