I tried searching for this type of problem in the forums and I didn't find anything so here goes:

I installed Windows Vista on my computer about 8-10 months ago. Ever since then, each time I turn my PC on, it takes it about 2 mins. to boot to the log on screen. Before I installed Vista (I had XP on it), it never did that at all. At first, I didn't pay any attention to it but now it's getting real annoying (its ONLY been about 8-10 months). Does anyone have a similar problem or got any suggestions on what to do?

Yep, I have the same problem. I believe that it's just Vista that has a long boot time; I've tried all the tips for speeding up Vista, and they helped, but boot time is still much longer than XP.

What tips are you talking about? Is there a forum page where I can see those?

Run MSCONFIG, goto BOOT.INI, click no GUI boot.
