looking for a DVD Recorder + DVR

So far I've just seen the RCA DRC8030N, Emerson EWH100F (everyone says is junk), and a couple different Pioneer models (DVR-810H, 540H, etc.)

I want a unit that has lots of functions to record DVR to DVD. On all of these units, no monthly subscription is required, correct?

i got a panasonic es15 for 170 and it is awesome, excellent quality.
walmart online has them now for 140

 

i can't find it on their website and haven't seen it in the stores...can you post a link?

I got the RCA off ebay for $100 its said to be a factory refurbished and so far it works great. I think the problem is people cant work it.
