Hey guys. I'm looking for some help. I have five DVD+RW discs of a cross-country road trip that I took that I recorded on my Sony Handycam DCR-DVD108. They play in my DVD player, they play in my computer... but I hate putting them in one at a time and I want to consolidate them into one disc. I have a Mac, but I also have a PC available (the problem with the PC is it only has 890ish MB avail so not enough to backup even one disc to HD). I seem to be completely lost... I have had no problems with DVD Shrink backing up DVDs (ie: motion pictures), but I can't get my home movies to backup, and not being able to use DVD Shrink on a Mac also doesn't help. I tried downloading Mac the Ripper and OSEx and I have had no luck.

How would I go about this? Directions on both Mac and PC welcome.

For a PC is easy, just rip the DVDs to your hard disk with DVD Dcrypter for example, and then reauthor/combine the DVDs to one with DVD Shrink.

For MAC, not so many freebies available. Instead of DVD Shrink you need to use Roxio toast or DVD2OneX

dvd shrink wont have menus so 5 films will play one after the other.

cam recorders i think are dvd(VR) format, dvd shrink wont do these.

i think nero vision will handle copying 1:1 and probably editing too?

camcorder = no protection, so do easy windows copy and paste folders across to HD for nero.

use dvd flick v1.3 its free and has menus, just add cut up files to it.

    Anything for a Mac?
That's for PC, but the PC has no HDD space:~)! Could buy another HDD, even a used 30GB one, probably would be cheaper than buying the applications for Mac, since you can do everything with free stuff on a PC.
