I have DSL internet which is shared via a D-link router (wired).
I have two computers on it right now. I want to put a third computer on. This isn't a problem because there are four connections from the router. The problem is that I want to put a computer in a bedroom on the second floor and want to figure out the cheapest way to make this happen without trying to run a cable from the first floor to the second. I know this can be done with a wireless router but I really don't want to have to buy one and then all the receivers for each computer.

    Thanks for any help.

You do not technically have to buy a receiver for each computer. My router has wireless plus hardlink capability. As long as your pc has the same you would only need the wireless network card for the third, upstairs, computer. Prolly not what you want to hear, but at least you would not need every pc to be wireless just the one.
