Hey everyone! I am looking to buy a new computer for gaming. I have a budget of around 1800$ but I would rather spend somewhere 1400$ down. I have a few components picked out and a general idea of what I want. I won't SLI right away, but I want to keep that option open. I am all for flashy LEDS to improve the ascetics of the PC. Also, it NEEDS to be compatible with XP and Vista, seeing as how I will dual boot them. Each to their own with cases. I too think the Sunbeam Transformer is hideous, but there you go. It's kind of nice that they include a CCFL with it though. The Thermaltake Armor is certainly a decent case but it's way more expensive than the case ll4mma has already outlined. The parts Abuzar has listed are solid, though I'd go with the 780i board rather than the Open Box Asus.
Thanks for the help, but the PSU you listed, would it be all right to SLI later? I'm trying to make this PC last as long as possible. And I LOVE the transformer. I'm in on the whole sleek, curved kind of case. But then again, its all subjective, right?

I'm running two ATI Cardsin crossfire on my PC and with four hard disks running the max I use is 350W, let alone 650 (I measured it).
If it make a difference, its the best low-budget all black case with a door and a HUGE window that I could find. You guys think it would be O.K. to skimp out on the memory a little bit? Well I still think the Thermaltake Armor will run circles around that case. It's soo good for cooling.
There's more to cases than just the Thermaltake Armor Abuzar, give it a rest. To be honest though, the Apevia X-Jupiter is way overpriced, and the Armor does indeed run circles around it. All the components in that list are good (I especially like the Sunbeam Rheobus and NZXT Sentry) except for the case, which is mediocre at best. I don't have something retarded like too much power consumption or not enough cable and ports to support all of that crap? And I think the case is all about ascetics and I don't really like too many cases, I'm REALLY picky. I've read reviews and it has good ventilation and is roomy and I would LOVE the design sitting next to my monitor on top of my desk. And what is up with the Armor's front? Thats one of the main reasons its out of my list. It looks too odd, if someone could explain what it is and if it looks different from the picture in Newegg, I might consider getting it.
I know there are more cases than the Armor, and it beats them ALL for the price Just kidding, it's down to personal taste mostly, but you have to admit it's a really good case for keeping your components cool. About the front door on the Armor, they are for show pretty much. You can take them off if you like, but I love how they look so I keep them on. The whole front of the case is basically 11 slots in which you can put anything into. If you want you can fill up 10 slots with dvd burners(one is reserved for the power button and a floppy drive also goes in that power button slot). You can also move the fan anywhere in the front and you can move the power button anywhere you are comfortable.
