I have a movie with a divx extension on it. It has somewhat of a low audio level to begin with, but I converted it into an AVI using Xilisoft Video Converter, hoping that might change a little, but it didn't. So should I try to up the volume just a bit while it's still in DivX, then convert it into an avi? If so, what program would I use to boost the volume. I imagine AVIDemux could tweak it in AVI form, but I'm not sure what program to use while it's in DivX form
Neither AviDemux nor VirtualDub retain the .divx features after saving. I use VirtualDub to adjust audio volume (Audio > Full Processing Mode > Volume). Remember to set Video > Direct Stream Copy.
