i just reformatted my pc... running xp ;; i have a 200gb hard drive and since the format i keep getting the low disk space message... why is that and how do i stop it?....
sorry i didnt give enough info.... i have a dual partition drive gateway . IT SAYS THAT DRIVE .D has low disk space.. how is that possible when .D is protected with factory information....do i have a virus? i have 182 gb free on .c and 41.8 mb on .D -- i know it's not supposed to be below 50mb or something.. but if i reformat it is supposed to erase everything back to factory specs right? ..
If D: has manufacturers system data you will have to have a look in there and see what there is. It is possibly using some system restore function and making large backup data temp files.. What is strange is that D: is usually the cd/dvd drive... I have no idea without actually having a look myself :s Can you post the exact manufacturer and model number so I can try my google skills and see what may be going on.. Anybody have any experience with these particular machines?
E. is my dvd drive... just doing a google, there is infoonhow to disable it but not whats causing it...im more concerned about the cause. i have a gateway 614GE the system is about 2 years old..i have did a system restore before with no trouble.
