ok so i used dvd extractor to get the m2v file and pcm file... i
used to be able to play m2v files using quicktime, but i
reformamtted and lost that ability. when i try and import the
m2v file into final cut aswell, it claims that theres an error and
stops... can someone point me to a codec or plugin that i can
download that will fix this problem? - thanks -

-update - - m2v files will play in vlc. not in quicktime
though... i get this error when i try and import to FCP- file
    error: 1 file(s) recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown

if you have FCP 4 or DVD studio pro 2 then you should have the quicktime mpeg-2 play back component. if not, you can purchase it from apple for $19.00
