I have a slot 2 Compact Flash M3 adapter that isn't loading new games. Whenever I try to load one the screen just goes white. Is there a new firmware that I need and if so which is it and how do I install it (forgive me, it's been two years since I've done anything with it so I don't remember how). Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance.
Join the club I haven't wanted to play anything on the DS with my sd slot 2 M3 since mario and luigi partners in time. N+ came out and BOOM I can't get past the "saving" screen. I've tried some newer games as well and they either have a problem getting past the "creating save" screen or just going white. My thoughts on it: There are 5 save file types available to the NDS. 1. EEPROM 4kbit 2. EEPROM 64kbit 3. EEPROM 512kbit 4. FLASH 2mbit 5. FLASH 4mbit With N+ it's simple why our old dinosaurs can't do it. The saving. The saving in our older M3's use what is referred to as a "2mbit save file" extension .dat. The Emulator iDeaS will load up N+ fine but as soon as I switch the saving type to "FLASH 2mbit" (or 4mbit) it freezes at the very beginning just like my ds does. But when it's on one of the EEPROM settings (.sav) it plays just fine. Again, our dinosaurs do not accept this. I was messing with this all day yesterday and the morning today. Now, I'm pretty much at the conclusion of needing to buy a new M3 or an R4 depending on what I want. Oh yeah - no firmware for us either! Lame
