Hi, After downloading some new NDS ROMs online and getting ready to play, I found my M3 freezes on the loading screen. The whole screen just says "loading....." for about 15 mintues without any change. I've tried to reboot the system...but it's still not working. Could somebody here tell me what possibly is wrong with my M3? Thanks a million!! -Mandy
Hey, I was having the exact same problem, what I did and it worked was I formatted my SD card. I popped it in the computer and copied and pasted everything on the SD card to my desktop because you lose everything on it when you format. then I click on my computer go to the drive that it shows the SD card in and the right click and go to format. afterwards put everything back on it and it may work. It worked for me.
I agree with the above but also download a clean (and the latest) system software and use this the software can be corrupted. For M3 use www.handheld sources.com Common causes of corruption - 1) Switching the DS off when it is trying to load a game - if you choose the wrong game don't just switch off, let it load the game and then switch off (like using safe removal of hardware from your computer)SD cards don't like being switched off when communicating. 2) Too many games - leave enough room for the software to create a save file 3) More than about 100 games in a folder (only a problem on 8gb cards and above), I believe the max is 128 and if you go over this it fails to load (not tried this one!)
Try a different .nds. I was trying to load ards.nds forever without working. I think installed the SYSTEM 8 times or so. Just try a different .nds first. Good luck. Aside: Can anyone get Action Replay to work on the M3 Real? I'm trying to unbrick our Action Replay, but ards.nds - as found in the ards.zip file and modified in February - gets to such fail screen: The top screen reads two lines trying to load the save file or something and the bottom screen is black. During the second try and beyond there is only one error line and the bottom screen is black. I tried with both v3.9 and v3.7 (r32 and r26 maybe). Same problem reguardless of SYSTEM. I formatted in both FAT32 and FAT formats. Still no success. I even tried another microSD. NEVER. ARRRRRGH. Our Action Replay is still bricked (won't boot). The minute (actually it was taking up to 7 minutes to load the games over USB 1) i loaded another game to and tested, it worked. MICRO CENTER 2G MicroSD card. Go figure, I might have 20 games already on that one little card. Before you reformat: Try a different game. Bye, -JJ
