Hey, So whats a better choice, the M3 DS Simply or the R4? Iv seen that they both are basically the same thing, but for some reason, i like the look of the M3 better, and their support forums are great aswell. Where is a good place to buy the M3 DS Simply? I want the 2GB Kingston JAPAN MicroSD Memory card aswell. I was looking at kicktrading and realhotstuff. Kicktrading had the "M3 DS Simply + 2GB Kingston MicroSD" for $90.90CAD including shipping. The same thing is at realhotstuff, except it is $75 (not sure if USD or CAD) for the "M3 DS Simply + 2GB Kingston MicroSD". Does REALHOTSTUFF ship to Canada? Does anyone know any other reliable online stores that ship to Canada? Also, i see the M3 DS Real will be out in a couple days (Nov. 5th). Will I be better off waiting for that? I see ConsoleSource is taking preorders for the M3 DS Real Rumble Pack Bundle w/ 2GB Memory Card for $79.95. Do they ship to Canada and will i be better off buying it from this website (is it reliable?) Thanks alot for any help!

DealExtreme is a very good site, the only catch is the postage can be quite slow (2 weeks is the norm, some people have had it take a month+) The only M3 Reals on DX atm are Chinese though.
the m3 real i believe is even better than the m3 simply and r4 because it supports SDHC, which does goes up to as of now 8gb. the menu is different and is more similar to the G6. but yes, i believe it should work at the website. i have not bought one yet, but i trust that the website would not support broken or poor items. i bought my r4 there and still use it. im not sure if the extra rumble pack will work as an expansion pack though, but it might. hanky, im not sure if that ones chinese because on dealextreme, they noted that on the other one, its chinese and did not say it was chinese on this one. i did read the comments you made about the e mail and such. and also, couldnt you just download a english firmware?
dragnandy I know someone who has bought it and it is Chinese. The English firmware does not 'work' (it just stayed Chinese), I have seen some pictures online detailing a possible hardware method to change it to an English unit but havn't tried it.
Thanks for the quick replies. Yea, iv decided to wait for the M3 DS Real. Any clue when its suppost to be out? ConsoleSource has it for Nov5th - are they reliable? Also, they only mention that its a "Kingston" card, not sure if its JAPAN. Can anyone confirm this? When I emailed Danny from the M3/G6 Team I got a reply on the 20th October saying the English release would be in about 2 weeks, which would make it around the time stated by consolesource. According to the M3 team the M3 DS Real can run all games no matter what speed your MicroSD card is, so it shouldn't matter whether you get the Japanese Kingston or not.
I see. But my first preference would still be the Japanese one, since the quality is slightly better. Would you suggest preorder from a website like ConsoleSource or waiting a couple more days to see if it actually is released on Nov.5th?
Fair enough, most people just go with the best deal at the time (lucky for me I had a 1GB Toshiba Japan which is just a re-branded Kingston before the problem games showed up) If I had the money I would have a pre-order for the Real already, unfortunetly I have no money and so probably won't be getting an M3 until next year at the earliest :-( (Guess I could sell my spare PSP though...hmmm) Anyhows, bed time! 3:20am here and i'm still recovering from an all-night halloween party two days ago ¬_¬
@mr_hanky hello mate am i correct in thinking you have to put firmware on the microsd memory for the m3ds real to work ( just like the m3ds simply )and if so where would the firmware come from ive been on the m3 website and cant find m3ds real firmware anywhere ? or am i not looking in the right place . sorry for the noob questions , woof811.
Yes it all goes into a folder on the MicroSD called System. There is a seperate "loader" firmware on the M3 itself but you cannot update this (yet?). I'm guessing as the English M3 Real is not out yet they havn't uploaded the firmware onto their site, however if you check for the G6 DS Real firmware that works on the M3 Real.
thanks mr_hanky i suppose that because the english version m3ds real isnt out yet probably thats why the firmware isnt there yet. i have heard that the m3ds real ( english ) is due to be released soon , so ill wait and see.
if the g6 firmware works on the m3 real, cant you use the 'working' English firmware that goes to the g6 onto the m3 real?
