Hi I ordered an R4 ultra off of deal extreme. It works fine but I much prefer the M3 firmware I once had. Is it possible to use M3 firmware on this R4 card?

    Thanks!

No, they're different cards with different firmware.

Hmm ok thanks. Probably not but it's worth asking, is there anyway to use R4 firmware to emulate M3 firmware...?

Why did you even buy the R4? They're not a reliable card anymore. The M3 may have it's problems as well but they're nothing compared to the R4.

Well I had bought the R4 because it was only six bucks. The M3 I love but was 60. So whatever. I didn't want Razzle Dazzle just a little something that would play my games and thats all. It does too! The only issue is that the cheat file doesn't work too well and the UI is piss ugly but hey you get what you pay for right? ^_^

The other issue is that some newer games don't work on the R4 and never will because no one is patching the software.

The R4 clones are "unauthorized devices" capitalizing on the R4 name so who knows what the committment is to keeping the code up to date.

When the carts are being sold for so little, there is little profit or incentive to do anything for the software.

You get what you pay for.

hi yes m3 firmware can be used on r4 as can r4 be used on m3 and all that is required is R4 to M3Patch v3 and works vis versa you just take the menu file as such put in the folder flash stick back hey presto,,, not with the r4sdhc or the r4 v3 firmware though there fake :) just go to piratebay and do search or google R4 to M3Patch v3.

i like to add, you can use YSmenu (based on the DSTT menu) on the R4, goto gbatemp.net and do search there.

Well. No dice on either one since it's a fake R4 SDHC or Ultra or whatever. In the meantime it's working fine. Thanks for the help!
