    Hi Everyone,

Please be gentle as i'm new to this forum so apologies in advance if I appear to be a bit wet round the ears!!

My bro just got me a DS lite and a copy of M3 DS real. I've downloaded this software onto my PC called SUPER which converts movies to DPG but when i play them back on my DS the movies sutter and pause quite a bit. I've been told that this could be due to the multimedia player thats on the DS (i think its moonshell i'm not sure, sorry!).

Now i've read a lot of good stuff about Sakura and was wondering whether someone could take them time to explain what it actually is to me please? Is it something i put onto the SD card directly alongside all the info thats already on my M3? Do i need to back up whats on my SD card and start from scratch? I've heard that Sakura has a better media player which is stutter free but i'm just a bit confused as to how i get Sakura to work on my M3 card. If someone could post links as well i would be more than grateful if not i'm sure i can google them!!

Sakura - this is the new firmware for M3 Real, it is available from the 2 sites in my signature. It comes as a computer program but simply delete the SYStem folder on there now and the program will generate the new one.

    Hi Kittymat,

    Thanks for your reply :)

So when i download Sakura i just need to backup whatever is on my SD card at the minute then delete it and then put the Sakura files on it and i should be good to go?

Do you have experience with Sakura? If so, Is the media player any good on it? And can i still use SUPER to convert files to DPG to watch with Sakura?

Sorry for the all out attack on the question front, the help is really appreciated.

The media player is better than most - the volume can go to 125%

Yes I use super and it works fine (do get lip sync errors if I use an underpowered PC)

To put it on - Sakura is a program put it on the PC, change the lang to English - last option on top row - set up sakura. You can put this straight on to the card (if its connected) on to a place on the PC. It creates a system folder as before. (Don't delete - format the card, then put everything back on)

If you get black screen or freezing - put a thin piece of card behind the M3 to push it on to the DS contacts - it needs better contact than with the original software.

Thanks for your help kittymat!! Two thumbs up.
I downloaded it onto my PC and followed your instruction and it works brillinatly! I copied all my games onto my sd card aswell as a movie and a couple of songs. Games work great, movie plays better but still not 100%. It slows down toward the end i.e. framerate seems to start to stutter but audio is fine. Dont know what could've cause that, possibly the settings on Super need to be tweaked?. Also the music files seem play at a slower rate than they do on my PC or CD player. It might sound weird but they just dont sound right almost as though the speed of the song has been slowed a bit, i.e. vocals sound drawn out and beats/general tempo seems slower. Do the audio files also need converting? I just did a 'drag and drop' of a couple of mp3 files to the sd card and made a seperate 'Music' folder. Should i have done something different?

    Thanks

    Saf

No it plays Mp3's, however it may be the speed of your SD card. I have a class 6 sandisk and it works fine with movies I have converted
