Hi folks. Hoping you can help me with some ideas on how i can try to resolve the issue I'm having with a recently aquired M3 Simply card. I've followed all the instructions. - Formatted the MicroSD as FAT (have tried 3 different MicroSD cards, from 3 different vendors (all of which work with my M3 Lite adapter) - Installed the latest fireware files (1.11, etc.) - Copied some 'backup' roms (*.nds) into the root of the NDS - The NDS boots fine into the Shell/Menu - When I select a game, and try to run it, both screens go 'white' and nothing happes. - I've even patched the Firmware to R4, and tried that....get the R4 Revolution for DS menu...try to run a backup rom, and same thing occurs. - This occurs on 3 different NDS units. - have MicroSD cards (SanDisk 1GB, KingMax 1GB, and generic (no name) 1 GB MicroSD.....all experience the same on the M3 simply, but work fine on other NDS with M3 Lite So....does this mean I have a faulty M3 Simpy card, or am I missing a key step somewhere. Any suggestions are welcome. cheers. Latest Firmware has been installed (
The only thing I can think of is are you using the games from your M3 Lite? They probably wouldn't work as they're patched. Also return to using the M3 firmware, as the latest R4 firmware does not work correctly when patched for the M3. (Make sure you delete the _DS_MENU.sys file too) If it then still does not work I would suggest returning the M3 and having a replacement sent.
pardon the previous, attempt at replying to Mr. Hanky's response. Well, your suggestion resolved the issue. I've been using the M3 adapter, and the M3 software for over 1 year, that I didn't even think about taking a 'virgin' rom, vs. the one I was using (previously patched to work on the M3). Should have thought of that...been a rought week, not enough sleep....that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it. Thanks again, Mr. Hanky....the problem has been resolved.
