Does anyone have a Macrovision hack for the LVW-5005 that one can burn on a Macintosh?

    Thanks!

All the hacks that are around involve software that require the CD to be burnt in a Windows machine.

In fact there is the same problem if one wishes to upgrad ROM by downloading the files from the LiteOn site. They are only useable in Windows. People with Macs have to phone LiteOn and request a CD, which LiteOn will then send by snail mail.

.. Sorry, I mis-read your post. You are correct .. you will need to contact LiteOn for a CD to update your firmware ..

If you have access to a PC (either a friend or school) you can always do it there ...

I am not trying to update my firmware. I am trying to get the hack to remove the Macrovision. I do not have access to a PC. I need a version for a CD of the hack that can be burned on a Macintosh.

Yes, thank you. But the problem is that all of those files are Windows files; you can't work with the files on a Mac. That's the problem.

Try one of these forums that are dedicated to LiteOn users .. maybe you can find a Mac user that can help ...
