I am unable to install Flash Player (Windows XP Home). When I go to Macromedia Flash Player Download Windows and click Install Now, the Flash Player window opens without pictures (just a little box with an x)and nothing happens. No error messages,it just sits there. Please help.
Are you trying to get it from here? http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash It worked ok for me...What browser are you using? (shouldnt matter but..) Reboot, Download, install, come back and give me the results
Rebooted and tried from this site but the same results. I am able to install Shockwave but still not Flash Player.

???I installed a stand alone version and then went back to the Flash home page and installed it from there. It said it was successfull but I can't find it anywhere, ie; programs menu or add/remove programs???
If it said it was successful, then that is all that is needed. It is an ActiveX Control that is installed in your browser. Example: If you have XP SP2. Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options... > Programs tab > Manage Add-ons... > Show Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer > Shockwave Flash Object
