So yea, had a few movies and needed to rip them fast. DVD shrink, DVD Decrypter, Magic ISO and Alcohol 120% were erroring with protection issues so I fumbled around for a bit b4 I googled and found a neat little app called AnyDVD. AnyDVD runs in the backround and removes protection codes while using any ripper. But then I had no time left so I used Magic ISO for its speed and it ripped fine. But the ISO seems to only work with Nero and the movie file went from 3.63GB to 7.83GB or something like that. DVD shrink analyzed and said 3.63... then Magic ISO made a 7.83GB file... Needless to say I don't want to waste expensive DVD DL's on normal sized movies that should easily fit on standard DVD. Why did this happen? and is there a quicker way to re-encode/re-rip from an ISO? As in, can I use a virtual drive to simulate its a disk and Rip using DVD Shrink and have it take a short time or am I stuck re-encoding it and taking many hours... I have a crappy computer, re-encoding takes a VERY long time... and my comp is prone to crashes on a near daily basis... Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
You can open the ISO file with Shrink without mounting it. Go to FILE/ Open Disc Image and see what's inside.
