I have no idea whats gone wrong. The main problem is whenever i double click on either of my 2 hard drive icons, instead of opening and showing me the contents of the hard drive it opens up a search box. I am able to look at the hard drive contents by right clicking and selecting "open". but this is becoming a major annoyance and would love if any one had any ideas. im running windows xp, avg anti-virus (newest defnt., multiple legitimate spyware apps, zonealarm firewall)
I can post whatever info needed, just please help. im considering a re-install if no one can fix it.

lol I should have said this. I ended up just reinstalling Windows after a month without a message on this thread. I figured besides solving that problem it would also give me a clean install of Windows.

    hehehe.....

Yeah, I've done that a few times...more than I'd like to admit.

Oh well...we live, we learn, we pass it on. Keep this in mind though should you run across the issue again, least you'll have somewhere to turn to this time!! :) :)

Yes very true, thats why AD and other sites like it, in my opinion, are some of the best on the web. There is so much knowledge spanning so many vast categories people can learn things the otherwise couldn't have and then take that knowledge to pass on and help others with.

Were would we be without the internet? It (the internet) truly has revolutionized the world.
