Dear reader, One day i made it so that my computer dosn't have pop out tool bars and all those cool things. I started to not like it, so i want to CONTROL PANEL went to APPEARANCE AND THEMES, then DISPLAY. Then the APPEARANCE tab and looked at WINDOWS AND BUTTONS. I looked at the scrool down menu and all I saw was the one i had right now.(Windows Classic Style). Dose anyone know hot to get my other options back or dose anyone know where to download these again. PLEASE HELP!!! Sincerely, Bigbeef.
iam haveing a bit of a hard time understanding you but is this what you want: go to start menu; taskbar and start menu; the clicking on start menu and then "okay" button?
I guess English is not your native language, bigbeef. pop out tool bars - Do you mean pop-up windows in Internet Explorer? Anyway, try selecting 'Windows Classic Style', and clicking [Apply] or [OK] Also please let us know which Operating System you are using (Windows XP, WIndows 2000, Windows 98 etc..)
Windows XP Home Edition. Sorry, I just have trouble with what im saying when it comes to computers. I DONT want windows classic style. I'm trying to find a place to get a different style then that. Dose that make sense???
you should see luna there...look in services make sure themes is set to automatic and running, also look in control panel/system properties/advanced/performance/settings make sure use visual styles on windows is checked.
First, whats luna. And second, where is services so i can look in services make sure themes is set to automatic and running.
go to start menu/run and put in "services.msc" scroll down to themes, luna is windows xp native theme.
Luna is the 'nice' look, that is unique to Windows XP. If you are trying to enable the windows XP look, do this: 1. Click Start 2. Click 'Run' 3. Type 'services.msc' (without quotes) and press enter 4. In the long list that appears, look for an entry called 'Themes' and double click it. 5. Look for 'Startup Type' in the window that appears, and make sure that it's set to 'Automatic' 6. Under 'Service Status', click 'Start' (if possible, orelse just leave it.) If you DON'T want the windows XP look, and neither the 'Classic' look, install an external theme manager. Here are some: StyleXP [http://www.tgtsoft.com/download.php] WindowBlinds [http://www.download.com/WindowBlinds/3000-2326_4-10026826.html] None of these are free, though. There may be freeware alternatives available, but I don't know of any. Don't worry about that, you aren't the only one!
