    Hi Guys

I just bought an HP Deskjet F4280 All in One.

I wanted to know if there is a way I can make it so I can print stuff from around the house without connecting any wires.

    I have a D-Link Wireless G Router, if that helps :S

    Thanks

    hi there,
is your all-in-one connected to a computer through usb at the moment? or did you mean by connecting to it directly to the router?
if so you can enable printer sharing on that computer which means as long as that computer is on and the printer is on you can print to it from any other computer on your network.

you could buy a print server for around £40, which you connect your printer to through usb, which then goes directly to your router.

then all you would have to do is add the printer to your laptop (I assume you are running xp)in the printers and other hardware section and make it your default.

the alternative would be to have a computer directly connected to the router (wired) and printer. Then allow it to be shared from the computer, then add it as above to your laptop and you are go, wireless printing.

ive done the second option in my house with 3 xp machines and two vista and it works pucker job,

    hope this helps.
