If i have a DVD movie over the 4.36gb, can I shrink it and make 2 dvd-r's out of it? Also, when i finish using shrink, can i use the decrypter to write it to the cd? I think I could, but i want to make sure. Thanks.
Well if you want to keep the extras this way you cannot do it with DVD Shrink. You can make 2 DVD-Rs with DVD Shrink with just the movie. For keeping the extras (and menus) I'd suggest DVD X Copy.
I have another question. I just used shrink to make a movie smaller. What do I do from there? It seems that I would have to use the decrypter because the shrink program made it into .vob, .iso, and .ifo formats. If not that, do I have to use Nero? I have Nero 5.5. How do I use that program to burn the saved copy of the movie from shrink? Thanks again for any input.
Hi pio4030, I think Nero 5.5 has whats needed to burn back to your blank. Open the dvd video section and click make a dvd video. I have Nero 6 and when I open that section, in the left part of the window are 2 files it makes for you. AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. If Nero 5.5 shows these folders, then click add button and browse to the location you saved the shrink files. Select all those files and add or drag them INTO the VIDEO_TS folder. Make sure they are inside and the Video _ts folder is opened. Then click burn. Jerry
Have a look for a DVD Shrink guide here: http://users.auth.gr/~ichatzim/shrink.htm You can also find guides for DVD Burning.
