i have downloaded a film from sky movies onto my pc and need to make a dvd from it any ideas what programme i require -the film opens in wmv
Drag the file onto mediaInfo. Find out the video codec that it uses. DVD Flick can convert many types to DVD. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/mp3_tools/mediainfo.cfm http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_flick.cfm
i got dvd flick to work and followed the guide it went through all the stages ok -but when i played the dvd disk back all it contained was a various assortment of flashing colours-no film
That sounds like the audio, not the video. Assuming it was .wmv, DVD Flick should have converted it. DVD Flick saves the output in a folder. What happens when you play those files.
they dont play but i still have original in another folder . is there any other program i can try to make a dvd.
i personally use VSO ConvertXtoDVD: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/vso_divxtodvd.cfm simple drag and drop and haven't found a movie it's failed to convert yet..plus powerful(especially with the menu/chapter editting options)
