I have used ImgBurn to make backup copy's of CD's in the past and it worked great for me, but I have recently run into problems with it for some reason. When I go to create an image file from a disk it will start analyzing tracks and then just freeze up... Now it doesn't happen on every disk, but it is happening more frequently. I can only imagine that it is a copyright protection problem, but I am running the latest version of ImgBurn (2.5.1.0.). Anybody have an idea how to get past this problem? Also I am having a problem with two different CD's not having any audio when I get finished copying them.....You can clearly see that the image was transferred onto the new CD, but no audio and I am using good media (TY CD-R 52X) and burning at 8X.
attar, Upgraded to the current version and still the same problems. I have 3 different CD's that freeze up when analyzing.....they are all brand new CD's without any scratches on them. Also I have 2 CD's that copy an image that you can see on the backup disk, but when you try to play them their is no audio. The funny thing about this is when you try to play them in Windows Media Player it shows all the right information in the now playing pane.....it has the whole list of songs in it and it will play one and move right on to the next song, but no audio. I have even played them in my stereo system and still no audio. Is there any other program that can be used to back up CD's? ImgBurn is working fine on some of my CD's but not on others....maybe I need to try another program
The only other program I use is Burnatonce. It's an older program that hasn't been updated - but I haven't had a problem with it. I'm inclined more towards the burner than the software causing the problem.
Tried BurnAtOnce with no luck either.....here are the logs. SPTI:1,0,0: LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1673S Rev: JS05 Reading toc and track data... WARNING: Could not determine if raw toc data is BCD or HEX.
