    RUDMASTER,
    Are you using the "burn at once" feature with nero, if so try burning an image file to the HD you can use Nero or DVD Decrypter for this. Afterwards use the file on the HD as the source and you should be good to go. Another option may be IsoBuster, I have yet to use it but it tauts itself as a data recovery tool. I try not to remark on stuff that I have yet to try but that one may be worth looking into also?

    RUDMASTER,
    "Burn at once" is the same idea as "Burning on the Fly", I said "burn at once" out of habit as that is how it reads in Nero Recode 2; basically there is no DVD structure created on your Hard Disk before burning there is less buffering as the data getting burned is from your DVDRead Device wich has limited read speed (mine is 8x). This can cause several writing problems including data loss due to an empty buffer. This is not a recommended way to burn disks; as I said earlier it is much better to rip files to the Hard Disk and then burn from there.

    #2......You can read about isobuster from here as I said I have yet to use it:

    http://www.isobuster.com/

    Please forgive me as I haven't helped to many folks yet, but I should have asked you for an entire log file of the failed burn. Without it one can only speculate on your troubles and there are lots of possibilites such as you're using new media or something.

    [bold] If you post it be sure to edit out personnal info such as the Nero activation serial. [/bold]

    @permatex,
    I found RecordNow by Roxio, is this what you are refering to?

    I have no problems making copies of copies when I use quality media. The only times I've ever had a problem is on crappy media.
    For those I try Decrypter.
    What brand of media are this discs on?

    Hey just did some more reading check out these threads that have alreday been discussed, they may (or may not) help.

    Here is the best thread that I've found I think that this could very likely to be the culprit in many cases:

    I agree with binkie7. If dvd decrypter won't copy it then more than likely nothing will.

    Open dvd decrypter, load the disc you want to copy, click on the mode tab, click on ISO, click on read, let it do it's thing, then load a blank disc, click on mode, click on ISO, click on write, click on the ISO MDS file you just created, let it do it's thing, your done.

    BTW are you putting stick on labels on your backups? These can cause problems.
