I have a drama series, on disc 20 ep 57-59 it looks like some of the VOB's are worn to a point that they don't read or copy correctly. The video will stop or jerk a couple of times and go back to Menu. Three of the discs have this problem. The disc gets hung up if I try to copy with Nero or Imgburn. Same with DVD shrink. I think it is VTS_01_4.VOB,one of the main is I have looked through the guides which got me to where I have pieces of the video in files strewn throughout the HDD's. Any one up to the challenge or can point me to one that has been done already? The old DVD Decrypter can rip an entire disk or selected files. When it encounters a part it cannot read you can skip to the next file. You can go back again and only select the 'bad' files and force it to read many times and it may get it all - check Tools > Settings and the I/O tab for the number of retries. http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVD_Decrypter
Thanks Attar you are always right spot on! I did not know about selectively retrying the bad file. When I would pull all the Vob's etc. and rerecord it The remake would also stall out. So I was going to try to cut and splice. I appreciate your straight forward approach. Because tearing these films apart and rebuilding them never turns out as easy as reading the guides. No matter which software, the freeware or DVDLab etc.
