Basically I have had a modded XBOX for the last year using the Matrix chip with no problems. I also had the evox dashboard and media player 2.4 running on it. My problem started when I went to update the dashboard using the slayer boot disc. From doing that all I get now is the normal green MS boot screen rather than the evox dashboard. Also, when I now switch on the xbox, rather than a messge saying "Matrix Inside" all I get is the normal "Microsoft" message. I have a backup of C and E folders however I cannot get networked anymore to transfer them? Also would I need to reflash the chip?? If so, with which version as I have had this chip for over a year now?
The Matrix Inside logo was a function of the older EvolutionX dash. Once you updated it and changed the default.xbe file then it will no longer say Matrix Inside. Since you can't get into the EvolutionX dash anymore, chances are your chip came unaligned also. RustyDog
