It all started with this youtube clip Transformers DVD. After watching this I inserted the Special Edition DVD into my Toshiba Satellite M60 Laptop and opened DVD Shrink. The following message appeared: When trying to change to Region 4 (required DVD Region) it prompts a message: Unable to update region settings. Please make sure the drive contains a region 4 media and you have administration privilege I have satisfied both requirements yet still receive the message? I have tried both AnyDVD v6.3.0.3 and DVD Region+CSS Free v5.9.8.3, both giving the same results. Is there an updated Firmware I can install or another application I can try? Hardware: Toshiba Satellite M60 / Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-840S Operating System: Windows XP Pro + SP2 Thanks!
The DVD in the drive is Region 4 and I am currently logged in as Admin which has full Administrator rights. Not sure what to do here?
I was able to resolve this issue... Tried about 6 different Region 4 DVD's but finally one of them allowed me to change the region code. Also left me with 0 changes, however that is fine as it is now set to my country Region which is 95% of the DVD movies I own. *phew*
